What? It's snowing again?
Hola compadres and comadres,
Happy springtime! Here's a little snow to mess up your thinking patterns! Thanks mother nature; you really know how to grind our gears. Before we get into a our random Wednesday segment, we want to pay our respects to Sion Milosky who died last Wednesday, March 16th, while surfing Maverick's. Here's a little short that pays tribute to the life of big-wave beast, Sion:
Sion is most notably known for catching the biggest paddle-in wave ever in the North Shore's Big Wave Contest held last year. It was said to be over 30 feet (Hawaiian).
The Sion Milosky Memorial Fund has been established to assist the wife and two young girls that survive Sion. The fund will be held by the Bank of Hawaii. All Hawaiians can go to any Bank of Hawaii and contribute by simply requesting to donate to the "Sion Milosky Memorial Fund." In local news... the Homebase610 crew is hosting the 3rd annual Saugy S.K.A.T.E. Showdown at the Bethlehem Skateplaza. Signing up is easy and FREE (Calling all usponsored skaters!) You can either go to www.Facebook.com/HomebaseSkateShop or to the Shop itself and enter your name. They will be randomly selecting 32 names from a sign up sheet on the deadline date, which is March 31st.
