Hope you are starting your weeks off with some good tunes. If you're ever bored of your music libraries and don't know where to go for some ideas you can always check out our blog or check Pandora.com, which I am very sure you already do. Before we reach our new artist, we want to give a shout out to team rider Ben Harmer for giving us a good midnight showing last Thursday on his skis and with the use of a broken futon frame for a rail.
This manic Monday we will feature CUT COPY. This band is from Melbourne, Australia and are known for their electropop genre with synthpop and post 80s punk sounds. This band reminds me of a modern version of Split Enz (with their famous and one of my favorites: 6 months in a leaky boat), also an Aussie and New Zealand band.

It's amazing watching musicians and bands from 30-40 years ago pave the way for most modern music. You can even notice Split Enz's influence on modern fashion in music.
Cut Copy started in 2001 by Dan Whitford and was single for a while before adding members Tim Hoey and Mitchell Scott on board. In Ghost Colours has been my favorite Cut Copy album thus far. In this album is featured 3 of my favorite songs:
Now with new bassist, Bennett Foddy, they are a four-man band and making serious moves. In the essence of timeliness, they are actually releasing a new album on iTunes tomorrow (February 8, 2011)! The album is called Zonoscope and they are expecting to hit the industry with great new sounds. Be prepared for Cut Copy to take a lot of hip in a few months...
